Following the recent advice from the UK Government, over the past 2 days Thames & Newcastle have been making preparations to close some of our sites and drastically reduce the labour force on others in order to maintain social distancing and ensure adequate supplies of PPE to remaining operatives. Critical works have been completed in order to ensure sites that are closed are safe and secure, we have installed cameras to monitor sites remotely and removed all unnecessary plant and materials from sites. We will continue to monitor UK Government advice and ensure we continue to adhere to the guidance issued.
Our head office is now officially closed and some staff are working from home to ensure business continuity. We would like to assure all of our suppliers and subcontractors that there will be no disruption to our normal payment procedures. In the meantime, our estimating department continue to work on preparing tenders for clients and we are using this time to improve our business systems so that we come back stronger from this difficult time.
